Custom Kit-Bash: Star Wars Black Series Aldhani Imperial Trooper, Andor

Writer's picture: MephitsuMephitsu

I have re-acquired my passion for custom figures and kit-bashing at the moment, spurred on by the leaps and bounds seen in the world of 3D printing. Fuelled by the recent glut of clearance figures in Game in the UK I found myself with an additional Aldhani missing Cassian. Add to that a spare head and helmet from a Death Star Trooper whose body is off being used elsewhere and I have a new Imperial Grunt to add to my Andor display as a background Trooper.

The head from the Death Star Trooper is a bit tight so you will need to employ some heat on the head and neck to get the two to fit. The helmet may be a little out of keeping with a planetary assignment, but it does match up in colour and style with the black body armour and drab weathered Imperial uniform beneath.

It is worth noting that if the Death Star Trooper head fits this body, then it will also fit the Ferrix Imperial Trooper that uses the same torso - allowing for a bit more army building of your Ferrix Riot Squad.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
