Character Options have announced their new 5.5 inch Doctor Who collector figures of the Fifteenth Foctor and Roby. These are now badged as 'Vortex Edition' releases and are what Character are calling Generation 3 figures inclusive of improved decor and articulation with a move to pinless joints and improved ankle, waist, shoulder, and neck joints. Each figure comes with accessories with the Doctor inclusive of the landmine from 'Boom', his Sonic and Psychic Paper, while Ruby features her phone and bag. We also get a new window box packaging design.
These particular figures are exclusive to Character Online with a release date of the 17th of October. They are sold as a pair, but packed individually and then into a single outer sleeve. They will cost £39.99 which is £20 per figure. Postage in the UK is free when you spend over £20. They are currently listed on the Character Online website but are currently out of stock. We would assume they will be live to order on the 17th for immediate dispatch.
There will also be blister-carded single releases of the Doctor and Ruby in variant outfits heading to wider retailer outlets. It is reported the Doctor will feature tan shoes, green trousers, and a teal shirt. Ruby will come in a denim jacket with blue skort and a cream jumper.

These Gen 3 figures feature a higher specification decoration for extra detail and features include internal pivots on the neck and ankles, ball jointed waist and shoulders as well as internal pins on the arms and legs.
This online exclusive set features specially designed packaging to allow the figures to be opened and played with or repacked for display. Each figure is individually boxed, and then beautifully sleeved together as a single purchase. A sturdy transit box is used to protect this unique set.
