Three of the new McFarlane DC Collector Series figures previewed at WonderCon 2024 have now opened for pre-orders ahead of a June 2024 release. The trio features Starfire, Captain Boomerang, and a Classic Penguin.
Starfire is based on her appearance during DC Rebirth and features two energy effects and a flight stand. Captain Boomerang from The Flash includes three sets of hands and a pair of boomerang accessories. Captain Boomerang also features a removable soft goods scarf and coat. And finally, The Penguin from the classic DC Comics will come with alternative hands and his umbrella. Each of these Collector Edition releases also comes with a collector art card and with its own display stand.
Each figure also has a Platinum Edition Chase version with a different decor. These are going to be randomly packed into the main cases.

Platinum Chase Edition
George “Digger” Harkness is a mercenary and killer with an aptitude for boomerangs and other projectiles. Antagonistic and often annoying to those around him, he has fought The Flash and, since his incarceration, has become a member of Task Force X, aka the Suicide Squad.
Platinum Chase Edition
They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but they also say evil is as evil does. A master manipulator, the Penguin is usually surrounded by violent henchmen who do his bidding without question. But when it comes down to a face-to-face, expect him to unleash a deadly barrage from a variety of umbrella weapons and other ingenious devices—often taking the form of fowl. And when all else fails, the Penguin will fight as dirty as they come, hand to hand combat doesn’t ruffle his feathers at all.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
