McFarlane DC Direct 'Digital' releases of Green Lantern, Batman and Aquaman

The first McFarlane Digitial releases were previewed back in the Summer of 2023 at SDCC. The premise is that these will be physical 7-inch figures but will come with a McFarlane Toys digital collectible.

The line has now been confirmed as being released under the DC Direct banner with figures of Green Lantern, Batman, and Aquaman kicking off the series. Each figure will come with a digital code to redeem online for a McFarlane collectible on their digital platform. And if you buy all three figures you will also get access to a digital 'build-a-figure' of Mongul.

Batman is taken from the DC: Rebirth series and has two head options, alternative hands, and a batarang with grappling gun. Aquaman is based on his classic look and also features two heads and alternative hands. Aquaman also comes with his Trident and a figure of Qwsp. The Hal Jordan Green Lantern is taken from the Silver Age comics and features alternative hands, lantern, and powered effects. All three figures also feature a circular display stand with the McFarlane Digital logo.

The new DC Direct Digital figures will be released in late April 2024. Keep track of the McFarlane releases at our McFarlane Collectors Database

A playboy billionaire by day, Bruce Wayne’s double life affords him the comfort of a life without financial worry, a loyal butler-turned-guardian and the perfect base of operations in the ancient network of caves beneath his family’s sprawling estate. By night, however, he sheds all pretense, dons his iconic scalloped cape and pointed cowl and takes to the shadowy streets, skies and rooftops of Gotham City.

A founding member of the Justice League of America, Aquaman has fought alongside Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman and held his own against the biggest threats the universe has ever seen. Despite being misunderstood by many as someone who merely “talks to fish,” Aquaman’s super-strength and fighting prowess alone make him a force to be reckoned with. His telepathic abilities make him one of the most powerful minds on the planet. If one chooses to underestimate the sea king, they do so at their own peril.

Hal Jordan is arguably the greatest Green Lantern. Valiant, honest, and able to conquer great fear, he battled threats alien and terrestrial, implementing unyielding willpower through a ring able to create constructs of anything he could imagine. Part of an intergalactic police force, he patrolled space sector 2814, tasked with protecting all life. Yet he found it increasingly difficult to blindly follow the directives of his Oan masters—the Guardians of the Universe. While colleagues ignored their own misgivings, Hal spoke out, even as his triumphant exploits won him a reputation as the foremost Green Lantern in history.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
