McFarlane DC Future State figures of Dark Detective Batman, and The Next Batman

The McFarlane DC Multiverse line continues to grow with two more Batman 7-inch figures announced, this time from the Futures State storyline.



Dark Detective Batman will see Batman in a lighter armoured costume with a brown overcoat. he will come with a grappling hook. The Next Batman will feature a fully masked Tim Fox Batman complete with a set of alternative hands and a Batarang.


Both releases also feature the display stand and art card. And there is not long to wait, with the figures having a March 2022 release date.



As a child, Bruce Wayne watched as his parents were brutally killed in Gotham City’s Crime Alley. Traumatized by their deaths, he devoted his life to becoming the world’s greatest weapon against crime—the Batman! To become the ultimate vigilante, the Dark Knight disciplined his mind and body to reach the pinnacle of mental and physical superiority in his relentless pursuit of justice!

A tyrannical group known as the Magistrate has taken over policing Gotham City and are cracking down on anyone wearing a mask—heroes and villains alike. After discovering Batman’s secret identity, Bruce Wayne disappears fast and almost loses his life in the process. He maintains the illusion that Bruce Wayne’s dead and operates out of a basement as his new Batcave as he tries to save Gotham City from its new oppressors.

Tim “Jace” Fox, estranged son of billionaire Lucius Fox, returns to Gotham City after having disappeared for years. Following an attack on Arkham Asylum known as “A-Day,” the Mayor of Gotham City allows a private law enforcement group known as the Magistrate to take over policing vigilantism in the city, cracking down on anyone wearing a mask. Soon after, Bruce Wayne and Batman are nowhere to be seen and Gotham City quickly goes from bad to worse. With the Magistrate ruling the city, and the Dark Knight gone, Gotham needs a new hero—enter Tim Fox, the Next Batman!
