McFarlane DC Multiverse Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom 12-inch statues of Aquaman and Black Manta

As the first full trailer arrives for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, McFarlane has commenced the reveals of their DC Multiverse product releases for the new movie. These kick off with two new DC Multiverse 12-inch posed statues featuring Aquman and Black Manta. These will be November 2023 releases ahead of the movie's release in late December.

Half-human and half-Atlantean, Arthur Curry is Aquaman, the King of Atlantis and defender of Earth’s vast oceans. As a founding member of the Justice League, he also protects the surface world from the forces of evil! Aquaman’s Atlantean physiology allows him to breathe under water, swim at incredible speeds, and super-strength to withstand the depths of the ocean. His royal lineage sets him apart from other Atlanteans, but also gives him the unique ability to telepathically communicate with marine life.

Considered one of Aquaman’s greatest enemies, Black Manta has a singular hatred for the King of Atlantis. For decades, Manta’s true name and motives were shrouded in mystery, hidden behind his menacing oversize helmet. In modern times, however, his true motivations have been revealed. No matter the era, Black Manta has always inflicted a special kind of pain upon his archenemy, cementing his reputation as one of the most ruthless and driven criminals in DC history.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
