Walmart's US Collector Con event features two new McFarlane DC Multiverse Gold Label Exclusives. Up first is Azrael as seen in Batman: Knightfall. This is the Knightmare Edition in black and gold decor and complete in a closed collector box. It comes with a Black and Gold display stand and a collector card.
We then have a Jokerized version of Batman from Dark Knights: Metal. This new variant takes the existing Batman and gives him a Jokerized paint job. The set is in standard DC Multiverse window box packaging complete with scythe accessory and display stand & collector card. You also get a further four Jokerized playing cards.
Upon his father’s death, college student Jean-Paul Valley learns that he had been genetically altered and trained since birth by a secret society known as The Order of St. Dumas. They then activate his psychological conditioning, forcing him to become their most elite enforcer, Azrael. While on a mission in Gotham City, Azrael crosses paths with Batman and soon turns on the Order to join with the Dark Knight. Later, when Bruce Wayne is paralyzed by Bane, Bruce asks Jean-Paul to become Batman for some time. Jean-Paul then launches a campaign of brutal justice against the criminals of Gotham City and creates his own Batsuit of armor.
Following the universe-shattering events of Dark Nights: Metal, the Earth is enveloped by the Dark Multiverse and has transformed into a hellish landscape twisted beyond recognition. Willing to sacrifice his own humanity for the greater good, Batman wields an evil Black Lantern power ring, which grants him the power to resurrect the dead. Now, leading an army of zombies and riding a Batcycle made of bones, the Dark Knight wages war against The Batman Who Laughs and his omnipotent goddess, Perpetua, in his mission to save the DC Multiverse!

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
