The Dark Knight. The World’s Greatest Detective. Gotham City’s Guardian. The hero known as Batman goes by many titles as the result of a life in the shadows building an urban legend that is revered by the innocent as much as it is feared by Gotham City’s cowardly and superstitious criminal lot. In a world full of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Batman fights crime using his intellect, physical and mental training, and an arsenal developed with his family’s fortune. Moreover, Bruce Wayne has an unrelenting need to prevent the kind of tragedy that he suffered from happening to any of Gotham City’s innocents.

Wise as Athena, stronger than Hercules, swift as Hermes, and beautiful as Aphrodite, Wonder Woman is Diana, daughter of Zeus. She is the princess of an ancient tribe of warrior woman known as the Amazons, and a founding member of the Justice League.

Who is the impractical joker with a key to crime? With a maniacal laugh, a twisted sense of humor, and penchant for setting cunning traps, The Joker is one of Batman’s most notoriously fiendish foes. But when it comes to putting an end to The Joker’s crime sprees, Batman knows firsthand that The Joker’s jokes are never very funny… in the end.

Gotham City has seen its share of wacky super villains. But none has been as obsessed with clocks as Morris Tetch – THE CLOCK KING!

A presence in Batman’s world ever since she forcibly inserted herself into it, the tenacious Barbara Gordon has spent her life following in the footsteps of her hero father, Commissioner James “Jim” Gordon. While James Gordon has done much to help Gotham City as one of the few honorable cops on the Gotham City Police force, Barbara has done even more as Batgirl. Originally starting her career by imitating Gotham City’s legendary Dark Knight, Batgirl has since become her own woman, fighting crime in an original style, and putting her years of training and brilliant mind to work protecting Gotham City’s under-served neighborhoods.

Incredibly detailed 6” scale vehicle based on BATMAN: THE CLASSIC TV SERIES.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
