The line will include both 1:6 and 1:10 scale items with the 1:6 line dedicated to the Todd McFarlane comic book covers starting with releases for Spider-Man and Captain America.

These first two releases were shown via an article at Comicbook.com article with Spider-Man from the Amazing Spider-Man 301 cover, and Captain America from Amazing Spider-Man 323. Each piece features a sculpted character incorporated into an environmental base - and the usual McFarlane Collector Cards will also be included., as will replicas of the original comics.

The smaller 1:10 scale series will pay homage to other comic book cover artists including Todd McFarlane but also artists like Jim Lee, Steve Ditto, John Romita Sr., and Rob Liefeld. These ar e listed as including iconic Marvel characters like Spider-Man, Deadpool, Wolverine, and Captain America. More details on these will follow from McFarlane.

The first of these Marvel Comic Book Cover releases will arrive in Summer 2024.

Tempe, AZ, May 24, 2024 - McFarlane Toys, a trailblazer in the world of action figures and collectibles, proudly announces a landmark collaboration with Marvel. Through this collaboration, Todd McFarlane’s iconic Marvel artwork will be brought to life in a collection of posed figures, available in both 1:10 and 1:6 scales. It’s a pivotal moment, marking the first time Todd McFarlane, CEO/Founder of McFarlane Toys, will turn some of his own Marvel drawings into stunning 3D detail, offering fans an unparalleled opportunity to own a piece of comic book history.

The 1:10th scale posed figures will celebrate the enduring legacy of Marvel Comics and the legendary artists behind its characters. The inaugural wave features figures inspired by the artistry of Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee, Steve Ditko, John Romita Jr., and Rob Liefeld and showcases iconic characters such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Deadpool. Each figure is based upon some of Marvel Comics’ most memorable covers and will be set within an environmental base and includes a diorama backdrop to complete the final presentation.

Additionally, the 1:6th scale figures honor Todd McFarlane’s innovative contributions during his historic tenure at Marvel Comics. The debut figures recreate McFarlane’s Captain America pose from the iconic cover of The Amazing Spider-Man #323 and a Spider-Man figure, also from McFarlane’s classic Amazing Spider-Man run on the title. These figures feature a comic reprint and are mounted on environmental bases with a diorama backdrop, inviting fans to step into the pages of some of their favorite Marvel adventures.

Todd McFarlane, who revolutionized the comic book industry in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “For literally decades, thousands of Marvel fans and fans of my McFarlane Toys have deluged me with requests of wanting to see a Marvel and McFarlane Toys collaboration. Thanks to the invaluable support and collaboration from Marvel in making these new products a reality, I will now get this wonderful opportunity to not only be able to produce statue-like figures based upon my own artwork (who wouldn’t jump at the chance to turn their own 2-D drawings into 3-D reality?), but I will also have the great pleasure of being able to create products based upon some of the amazingly talented peers in our wonderful comic book industry. As fun as it will be to play with some of my own artwork, I am really looking forward to developing figures based upon the finest creators in comics. Get ready, everyone!”

This collection is slated for release this summer, offering fans and collectors an opportunity to own highly detailed figures inspired by Todd McFarlane’s legendary artwork. Stay tuned for more details which will be announced in the coming weeks through McFarlane Toys’ official website and social media channels.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
