NECA Universal Monsters Wolf Man, Black & White Version

NECA have confirmed, via their 31 Nights of Fright event, that as we expected their Universal Monsters Wolf Man, from the 1941 movie Lon Chaney movie, will be getting a black and white variant release.

We only have these two images so far with heads included for the Wolf Man and a human Lon Chaney. The B&W set is likely to include identical contents to the colour version so we can expect a 3rd alternative Wolf head as well as hands and feet to convert from Werewolf to Human. The set should also include the bear trap, cane and stand.

The B&W edition will be an early 2022 release.

UNIVERSAL MONSTERS THE WOLF MAN ACTION FIGURE (BLACK AND WHITE VERSION)

For the 80th anniversary of Universal's horror film classic, NECA is excited to reveal The Wolf Man in Ultimate action figure form! Starring Lon Chaney Jr., 1941's The Wolf Man is critically acclaimed for Chaney's moving performance and the special effects. The sculpt captures the human and monster sides of this complicated character with interchangeable heads, hands, and lower legs, as well as black and white deco reflecting the look of the original film stock. The figure stands in 7” scale, features the authorized likeness of Lon Chaney Jr, and also includes wolf cane, animal trap and stand accessories. Display-friendly window box packaging with opening front flap.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
