The next pair of Lord of the Rings figures from Diamond Select will be Samwise Gamgee and Saruman the White. Diamond have released some new imagery for this duo via Preternia.
Samwise will come with his elven cloak - something that was dropped from the Frodo release - and a number of other accessories, although it is not confirmed what. Saruman has his Staff and Palantir and also features what they are listing as "interchangeable sleeves" which will hopefully alleviate the posing issues we have seen on Gandalf and the Ring Wraith with the long draping sleeves.
The figures are due for release in Q1 (Jan-March) 2024. You can keep track of the Diamond Select Lord of the Rings releases, and more, at our Diamond Select Collector Database.
A Diamond Select Toys release! The journey continues! As seen in Peter Jackson’s epic Lord of the Rings movies, heroic Hobbit Samwise Gamgee faces off with wizard Saruman the White in the superlative sixth series of 1:10 scale action figures! The 5.5-inch tall Sam includes an Elven cloak and a variety of accessories, and the 7.5-inch Saruman includes his staff and Palantir, plus interchangeable sleeves! Each figure comes packaged in a full-color window box. Designed by Eamon O’Donoghue, sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios!

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
