Happy #SatTOYday!
We do apologise for the delay in releasing #84, but this bumper issue should be worth the wait as we have jam packed our SDCC issue with all the announcements that caught our eye at San Diego 2018.
I never like the term "they won SDCC" attributed to a company as we often see after the show. For me this year was a very solid performance by most of the key companies albeit there was an overriding feeling of volume reduction vs previous years, perhaps reflecting the current Action Figure market and the hole left by Toys R Us.
NECA lent heavily on the 80's and Horror Genre, with only a handful of Alien & Predator items on sale. Hasbro showed off some new Legends in their Marvel line, including their first mainstream MCU only wave. Over with Star Wars we got a handful of new 6" and 3.75" figures and confirmation of a new side line called Archives.
Other headlines included the Mezco reveals of Black Bolt and Lockjaw, and the intention from Icon Heroes to bring us a 6" articulated Karate Kid line.
This, and much more, is all covered within. And we also have an advance review of the as yet unreleased 13th Doctor figure from Character Toys.
