The Jazwares SDCC 2023 event started with their booth display which had some of the new, but already announced, Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron items on display including the B-Wing.
There was also new wave, Series 8, of the Jazwares Halo Spartan Collection figures on show. The new figures for Wave 8 are Commander Agryna, Spartan Belos Heran, Douglas-042, and Master Chief from Halo 5. There were no details on a release date for these.
At the Jazwares Panel for SDCC 2023 the team talked through many of their licenses including the new Call of Duty line and confirmed that on top of their SDCC 2023 exclusive Simon 'Ghost' Riley, the line would launch with 6-inch figures of Captain Alex Mason from m CoD: Warzone, and a standard Ghost 'Jawbone' release from CoD: Modern Warfare. The pre-orders for this Launch Edition wave are already live on Amazon in the US with an October 2023 release date.
After the huge volume of reveals at Star Wars Celebration, the Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron news was limited at SDCC. The Jazwares team confirmed first of all a new program to support mint-in-box collectors with every new release available in limited numbers (1500) via their new online sales platform - Jazwares Vault - and these will come with additional exterior packaging to protect the product within. This will include the option to get a full set of the blind-boxed ships & vehicles in one collector's package.
The 2024 reveals were shown as shadowed images and include Ahsoka's T-6 Jedi Shuttle from her upcoming Disney+ series, the AT-TE from the Clone Wars, and The Phantom from Rebels.

About Me : As a child of the '70s and '80s I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force), and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licenses - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who, and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK-focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
