Hasbro have revealed that their Transformers Studio Series will be returning to the first Transformers movie from 1986 for some upcoming releases.
The figures are all numbered #86 in the packaging, relating to the year of the movie, rather than following on from the last figures #68 Leadfoot. Each of the '86 figures then has a sub-number with five new Studio Series confirmed in this 1986 range.
We will start with three Deluxe Releases - 86.01 will be Jazz, 86.02 is Kup and 86.03 is Blurr. There will be two Voyager Class releases with 86.04 Hotrod and 86.05 Scourge. 86.06 is the biggest of the bunch with a Leader Class release for Grimlock, who comes complete with Autobot Wheelie.
The 1986 Transformer Movie line figures are now live for pre-order with a Spring/Summer 2021 release date. UK release is confirmed via Hasbro UK with pricing RRP at £20.99 for Deluxe, £32.99 for Voyager and £50.99 for the Grimlock Leader Class release.

About Me : As a child of the 70's and 80's I grew up in a golden age for action figures and in my youth bought and sold myself through collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe (Action Force) and M.A.S.K. while also dabbling in He-Man, Transformers and Ghostbusters. Roll forward and I am now reliving that Youth with the action figures of today and am a collector and fan of the larger 6-8 inch figures from my favourite movie and TV licences - including the ones mentioned above, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Who and the Aliens. I launched The Mephitsu Archives in 2015 with a view of creating a UK focused site or these figures where fans can pick up the latest action figure news, read reviews and get information on where to buy their figures and what is currently on store shelves. I hope I am delivering that to you guys...
